GE HEALTHCARE ENTERS STRATEGIC COLLABORATION WITH LEQUEST TO ACCELERATE ROLL-OUT OF DIGITAL ONBOARDING OF HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS

GE HealthCare, a leading medical technology and digital solutions company, announced an expanded collaboration with LeQuest, the makers of medical simulation technology, to make digital simulation trainings for GE HealthCare’s Anesthesia and Respiratory devices.

The first step in the collaboration provides faster onboarding to thousands of nurses and anesthesiologists for the Aisys CS2 and the Carestation 620, 650 and 750 series.

As of the 1st of January 2023, healthcare professionals across the globe can advance their knowledge and skills by using the devices within a safe, virtual environment. This reduces the time needed to practice on the device itself, which in turn allows them more time to care for patients.

Significant impact on Healthcare Professionals

“The innovative simulation trainings that LeQuest make are a valuable addition to our existing support. Healthcare professionals can access an exact reproduction of our devices from wherever they are and in their own time. No loss of operational time on the devices and supporting faster onboarding while also increasing confidence has a significant impact on the workforce. In addition, our application specialists complement the education offering to our customers with deep dives and specialist knowledge, which is offered on top of the digital simulation training. The COVID-19 pandemic has escalated the need for easy and accessible online training for both our new and install-based devices.” said Pal Arne Woien, VP & GM Patient Care Solutions EMEA

Expanding Collaboration

The collaboration covers EMEA with simulation trainings already translated into 11 languages. More languages and regions are expected to be added in the next three months, which will globally support GE HealthCares’s Anesthesia portfolio. The aim is to save 50% of the average implementation times within hospitals.

“Going global with LeQuest will result in a major reduction in time and costs usually needed for our team to go and train our customers on site. By taking the device-specific trainings fully online, our expert team can focus more on clinical workflows, improving the overall customer satisfaction by also being mindful of their busy work schedules.” added Frederic Clement, Chief Marketing Officer Patient Care Solutions EMEA

A Higher Reliable Healthcare

Hicham Shatou, CEO and Founder of LeQuest: “At LeQuest we offer medical technology solutions to both hospitals and medical device companies that help healthcare professionals provide the best possible patient care without any added burden. The simulation training is engaging, and the workflow scenarios are so realistic it positively impacts their confidence and morale. They can access our platform from the comfort of their own home or as we often see, during the quieter night shifts.”

“This collaboration with GE HealthCare is proof to us that the need for higher reliability for the workforce in the use of medical technology is a growing, worldwide demand. For the thousands of healthcare professionals who will have access to our simulation trainings, it will mean improved workflow, operational efficiencies and more advanced knowledge and skills on the work floor, while still fulfilling the compliance needs of the market in a post-COVID environment,” concluded Hicham Shatou.
